2022 Autotronics Taipei- Team Feng-Chia Released Three Important Autonomous Car R&D Technologies.

The four-year project "Technologies and Subsystems for Autonomous Car " led by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Economic Affairs R.O.C. held "2022 Autotronics Taipei " at Nangang Exhibition Center from April 20-23. Our team was led by the Dean of Information and Electrical Engineering, Prof. San-Shan Hung, and only four teams: Feng Chia, NYCU, NCKU, and NTUT participated.

The Integration of deep-learning intelligent perception and autonomous decision-making technologies in the development of a nationalized class of active suspension systems executed by the Department of Automatic Control Engineering Vice-Prof. Yu-Chen Lin presented three techs: Road defect and waterlogging recognition system and vehicle regulation embedded system implementation nationalized active suspension system, and Adaptive Learning of Vehicle Stability Control SystemThese three technologies were successfully demonstrated in an available vehicle and caught the participant's eye.

Vice-Prof. Yu-Chen Lin explained our research and development to senior advisor to the president, Mr. Lin Hsin-I.

Vice-Prof. Yu-Chen Lin said that our team had accomplished several outstanding achievements in the past three years and was highly recognized by the MOST.

The three technologies released this year:

  1. Road defect and waterlogging recognition system: Provide to road maintenance organizations.
  2. Active Suspension System: Make buses more comfortable during driving, and provide medium and large trucks to keep the vehicle stable by adjusting air springs to avoid overturning accidents.
  3. Adaptive Learning of Vehicle Stability Control System: Can effectively improve the stability of vehicles during driving, such as slipping on standing water, cornering, etc. 

Currently, the market for autonomous vehicles is stuck to public transportation. The results of this development not only will improve the comfort of the autonomous vehicle but also enhance operational stability.
