TSMC Company Visit
The "Introduction to International Business" course, taught by Professor Joy Yueh-Shian Lee, took students on a visit to TSMC on December 18, 2024.
"Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Limited, TSMC)" is a Taiwanese company engaged in wafer foundry services. In August 2024, its revenue ranked 186th on the "Global 500" list of the world's largest companies by Fortune magazine. The company is headquartered in the Hsinchu Science Park in Taiwan, and the visit took place at TSMC's Taichung site in the Central Taiwan Science Park.
By visiting the company in person, breaking with traditional teaching methods, students were able to gain a deeper understanding of industry operations and experience the actual work environment. This not only enhances their practical skills but also stimulates their thinking and planning for future careers. Through interactions with industry professionals, students gained valuable insights and experiences, further expanding their perspectives on the workplace and preparing themselves for future job market competitiveness.
