Cross-domain Learning

In the four years of university, I participated in more than ten national competitions. I also went to the Industrial Technology Research Institute as an intern, served as a lecturer, founded a company, and got in touch with the most distinctive Department of Communications Engineering.

Face yourself and win the game!

At the beginning, my grades were not particularly outstanding, and I was not very talented in reading, but my thematic instructor helped me and let me see that I could be so different!

Through the teacher's guidance and continuous practice, I have the opportunity to cross-field study which is completely different from the traditional communication department.

From the very beginning, he didn't know how to program, to the first time he went abroad to participate in Shanghai Tongji University, competed in the second Cross-Strait Maker Competition with somatosensory robots, and won the third place, and accepted many media interviews.

Under the call of the Institute of Information Technology, participate in the FIRA Robotics Competition, and team up with strong players from capital workers to fight against teams from all over the world.

In the four years of university, in order to challenge myself, I used different works to enter the competition every time. Every month of my senior year, I almost participated in a national competition and won first place in a national competition; two of the international competitions won third.

在參加大大小小的比賽的期間,累積豐富的實務經驗及人脈。

During the participation in large and small competitions, he has accumulated a wealth of practical experience and contacts.

Experience, let me go to the Industrial Technology Research Institute!

Rich practical experience allowed me to serve as a trainee in the Intelligent Machinery Center of the Industrial Technology Research Institute through the "DIG + Talent Cross-domain Digital Talent Accelerating Leap Program" of the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs during the summer vacation of my senior year.

Hard work, let me fight for more resources and opportunities

"If you want to be different, you can't let yourself limit yourself."

I relied on the hard work I wanted to surpass others. From my junior year, I had come to school every day for almost 365 days to register. It allowed me to accumulate rich practical experience and obtain outstanding results and opportunities.

Department of Communications Engineering has proud teachers. Even though I have been working in the industry for some time now, I still admire the knowledge and vision of the teachers in the department.

Communications both hardware and software!

Communication is located between electrical machinery and resource engineering. It has two department heads, both software and hardware. In the sophomore year, we also have wireless communication group, digital communication group and Internet of Things courses for optional courses.

  • Wireless communication group: It is based on high-frequency circuits, radio frequency circuits, and electromagnetic compatibility EMC. In these fields, Fengjia Communication has the top teachers and is also a popular employment choice.
  • Digital Communication Group: In addition to the familiar 4G and 5G technologies, it also includes popular topics such as image processing.
  • Internet of Things Course: It is the most vigorously developing industry today. You can learn the control of embedded systems, as well as various Internet-related controls, such as cloud computing, monitoring systems, etc. The above courses are designed to allow students from the Department of Communication to study concurrently between software and hardware, trying and creating more diverse possibilities.

Internship

The first half of the year as a rookie intern

2025.08.28 (Thu)22:10 ~ 22:10

I experienced the last semester of the academic club in college, and decided to give myself an experience different from school life, so I chose the industrial internship in the department and entered the "Taichung System Development Department, Marketing Information Department, Cathay Life Insurance". Perhaps because of a bit of luck, I happened to meet Cathay Pacific who was updating the old system, so I directly joined the company's project development to create a greenhouse gas inventory information disclosure platform, log in and audit the greenhouse gas emissions of the entire company and make reports. Thinking that other Cathay Pacific people will use the system I made, every time I make a part, I will feel more fulfilled, and I will fully experience the feeling of a rookie working, not just an intern who goes to help. Cathay Pacific’s training plan for new recruits is really perfect. In addition to a set of teaching gitbooks for self-learning, there is also a step-by-step basic teaching by mentors, and then independent implementation of simple projects. Finally, the mentor’s code review makes us more clear when writing programs. How to improve its performance and legibility. Although there are many interns, there will be some people who are quick learners waiting for those who are a little slower, but this part will happen more or less, so I used this time to study the bottom part of their project structure and understand the whole The architecture of the system will also be of great help to me in making projects later on. For me, the report is probably what I learned the most here! After the project started, every two weeks, I had to report what I had completed, what functions I had done, why I did it, and how I could optimize it. In addition to training me to be able to present my results without nervousness to a group of unfamiliar people on stage, it also increased my ability to fully describe my ideas for the projects I produced. This part is a very important ability whether you will continue to study in graduate school or enter the workplace in the future.
